Two Distinct Whiskies. One Immersive AR Experience.

The Macallan invites you to download our AR app and immerse yourself in an interactive, narrative augmented reality experience. Through artistic AR visuals and a voice over audio experience, you’ll learn the differences between our two unique whiskies: the Sherry Oak 12 Years Old and the Double Cask 12 Years Old.

Point The Macallan AR app at a bottle of The Macallan and launch an augmented journey narrated by our national brand ambassador Kieron Elliott. Peer through virtual windows into forests of European and American Oak, learn about the distinct oak casks, generate swirling light ribbons that reflect the natural colors, and activate the distinctive flavors like cinnamon, fruit and honeycomb for each single-malt whisky expression.

This experience was specifically designed for Apple iOS11 ARKit. Compatible with The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old and The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old.

Choose one of the two featured whiskies, either The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old or The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, and place the virtual marker at the base of your bottle to begin your journey. Try each unique experience with both expressions.

Move around your real world to see these visuals from any angle or perspective to capture the details that distinguish these two separate expressions.
